Drawer of failed bunion correctors
Why the drawer filled up

Every splint, spacer and sleeve does the same thing: holds the big toe in place while you wear it. Take it off and the toe goes back, because nothing changed while it was on.

That's why they end up in the drawer. Not because you gave up. Because a tool that only holds has to be on all the time to mean anything.

Why it works

Two jobs at once.

There's a small muscle along the inside of your foot called the abductor hallucis. Its job is pulling the big toe away from the others. In most bunions it weakens. Every corrector in your drawer held your toe in position and left that muscle alone. This brace does both: holds the toe and sends small electrical pulses to the abductor hallucis at the same time. The muscle tightens and relaxes, the way it would if you were working it yourself. You feel it as a tingle and a light pull.

It won't fix a bunion overnight. Nothing non surgical does. It's a routine that helps, fifteen minutes every evening.

Your evenings

Feet up. Fifteen minutes. Nothing to sleep in.

Wrap it on, pick a mode, start on a low level, and sit back. Fifteen minutes on the couch, that's the whole routine. No splint to sleep in, nothing to walk around in while it works.

01Loop the big toe, wrap the foot snug, strap the heel
02Pick a mode on the display, start on a low level
03Sit back for fifteen minutes. Done.
What buyers of EMS bunion braces say
The shoes

For the days you want the good shoes on.

The wedding. The birthday dinner. The summer you'd like to wear something other than trainers. A fifteen minute evening routine is one you can actually keep. And keeping it is the whole point.

Before you buy
What is EMS?

EMS stands for electrical muscle stimulation. The unit on top of the brace sends small, gentle electrical pulses through the skin into the muscle along the inside of your foot, and the muscle tightens and relaxes in response. You feel it as a tingle and a light pull. You choose from 10 modes and 29 levels of strength.

Does EMS hurt?

No. It feels like a tingle and a light pull along the inside of the foot. Start on the lowest level and only go up if it feels comfortable. If it ever feels sharp, turn it down.

How long, and how often?

About 15 minutes every evening, sitting down. Start at level 1 and go up one level at a time until you feel a clear tingle and a light pull. There are 29 levels, so there's room to build up as you get used to it. Stronger isn't better.

Try a few of the 10 modes in the first week and stick with the one you like.

When will I notice anything?

From the first evening you'll feel it working: a tingle and a light pull along the inside of your foot. That's the muscle being worked. It's a routine that helps over time, not overnight, so stick with your fifteen minutes every evening.

Is it safe for me?

Do not use it if you have a pacemaker or any other implanted electronic device, if you have epilepsy, or during pregnancy. Do not use it on broken skin, an open wound or a foot with an infection, or if your feet have reduced feeling, including from diabetic neuropathy.

If you have diabetes, poor circulation or a diagnosed foot condition, ask your GP or podiatrist first.

Will it fit my foot?

It's one size and fits roughly UK shoe sizes 3 to 12 (EU 36 to 47). The wrap and the heel strap both adjust, so you set the fit yourself.

Do it up snug, not tight. The pulses need contact with your skin, and the unit switches itself off after about a minute without it. If your foot throbs or goes numb, loosen it.

If it doesn't fit when it arrives, tell us within 14 days. Full refund, and you keep it.

What if my feet are wide?

The wrap goes round the front of your foot and closes with hook and loop, so there's no set width. It closes wherever your foot needs it to. If your feet are very wide and you'd like a second opinion, email support@marvreco.com with your shoe size before you order.

What if it's not for me?

Tell us within 14 days of delivery and we refund you in full, to your original payment method. You keep it. Nothing to post back.

How do I charge it?

With the cable in the box. A red light stays on while it charges and goes off when it's full. It warns you when the battery is low, and it switches itself off after about a minute without skin contact, so it won't run flat if you forget it.

How long does delivery take?

Orders are dispatched within 1 business day. Delivery to Ireland takes 8 to 16 business days after that, tracked the whole way. Your tracking number is emailed when it ships.

Will I pay anything when it arrives?

No. VAT is included in the price for Ireland and the rest of the EU, so there is nothing to pay on delivery.

What if it arrives damaged or faulty?

Send us a photo within 7 days of delivery and we send a new one or refund you in full. You don't need to post anything back.
